The ideas and gameplay are both there, but it lacks originality or the entertainment value necessary to be a standout game. In the end, Creature from the Krusty Krab is a wasted opportunity. On top of that, the world looks dirty and depressing, with a darker tint that is not pleasant to look at, a sharp contrast to the vibrance of Battle for Bikini Bottom. Instead, it's just your typical formula of mashing the square button to take down enemies, move to the next room, rinse and repeat. One level features Patrick in a comic-book themed dream, which should lend itself to many creative possibilities. The game is full of great ideas and levels, but they are executed poorly.
